Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture, turning into a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift dropped country as if it was an additional layer of herself, proving that she's perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal, and be able to perform at the opposite. The evidence was clear in her early songs, particularly on the neo pay homage towards Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008) Swift showed a songwriter getting to know her. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States, where six of its singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Swift reached the heights of the charts with Speak Now. Swift's popularity grew through her three subsequent albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within a genre where she belonged. Her popularity grew even after she reformulated her approach with 2020's pared-down siblings folklore (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
