Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor as well as a director producer and singer. Beautiful, intelligent and talented actor, she's an inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular characters in television shows. For instance, in the Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. The fame she gained from the show was translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii as the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. In the meanwhile, she was also in leading roles in several film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as a voice actress for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any positive results. Southland is a highly praised crime drama - helped establish Liu's status as a top actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order so that she doesn't get stereotyped in an industry which is extremely competitive. Liu has accepted her Chinese roots however she has not let them limit her artistically.
