Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, and professor at St. Thomas University). Her father is from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's first memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother's working. When she was a kid, she appeared in several commercials. In November 1999, Anna made the move to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career. She ended up making the move into Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. They got engaged in 2009.
