Laura Vandervoort
In 1997, she made her acting debut in 1997 at thirteen. In 1997, Vandervoort had her debut on stage as an actor at the age of 13. After completing several classes and working as a background actor for Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea or Harriet the Spy She was given her first part as a speaking actress in the Canadian children's horror collection Goosebumps. There were commercials too as also guest-starring in films like Mutant X and Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. Goosebumps was also a component of her acting career. Vandervoort was able to make her feature film debut in 2006 on The Lookout. She starred with Jeff Daniels and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Matthew Goode was also there. Vandervoort's television career began with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her next project was the role as Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin "Kara Kent", (the woman who became Supergirl) on The CW serial-drama Smallville. Her appearances on season seven and eight of the show were as a season regular, "Bloodline". She was back on Smallville to appear in two episodes throughout the last season that was her 10th season. After The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort then shot the sequel to the feature film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independent project. The film also featured Canadians Michael Ironside, who appeared in both two episodes of the V miniseries and in the regular 1984 V series.
