She is well-known for her Internet Miranda Sings character, making videos of her character on YouTube, performing her one-woman comedy act on tour in theatres all over the world, as well as creating and starring in a Netflix original show called Haters Back Off (2016-2017) about the character. Ballinger created the comically talentless character, who is egotistical and eccentric, to mock the many YouTube videos of people singing badly in hopes of breaking into the world of showbiz however, they are unaware of their lack of talent.Ballinger also features comedy and lifestyle videos on her personal YouTube channel and also a Vlog channel called Colleen Vlogs. The combined views on her YouTube channels are more than 5 billion. Miranda Sings has over 10 million subscribers, and she has over 6 million Instagram followers. Ballinger has won a Teen Choice Award in "Web Star: Humor" as well as she was awarded a Streamy Award in Best Actress. 4.
